Owensboro Parks and Recreation is once again closing for its summer pool season with a bark. On Sunday, August 6th, dog owners are invited to bring their furry friends to Combest Pool for their “Gone To the Dogs” event. There will be contests, giveaways, prizes, and displays from local pet stores and veterinarians. The encourage visitors to bring in a small bag of dry dog food, which will be donated, to the Owensboro Humane Society and the Daviess County Animal Shelter. A leash is required outside of the pool. It will be 6 to 8pm on the 6th, rain or shine. Cost is $10 per dog, and the owner gets in free.
