No charges will be filed over the incident last Wednesday in which Britney Spears was allegedly struck by NBA star Victor Wembanyama's security guard. The Las Vegas police officer who filed the official report said security video showed that when Britney “touched the player, the security guard pushes her hand off of the player without looking, which causes Britney’s hand to hit herself in the face.” Spears also did not fall to the ground as she said, but her glasses did get knocked off her head. “Due to the fact that (the security member) DID NOT willfully or unlawfully use any force or violence upon Britney and probable cause did not exist an Arrest was not made and a Citation was not given,” the police report concluded. Spears later posted on social media that she is “still a huge fan” of Wembanyama, noting, “It’s not his fault his security hit me … s— happens !!!” She also wrote that she felt like she has never “been treated as an equal person in this country” and thanked bystanders who helped her during the incident.
