The Owensboro Parks Department is inviting the public to celebrate National Trails Day at Rudy Mine Trails on Saturday. From 8 to 11am, Hike with Your Hound will be held. There will be giveaways for the first 100 participants. Make sure dogs are leashed up. Rudy Mine Trails at Ben Hawes Park is located on Highway 60 West at mile marker 8. The Double track trail includes three trails that interconnect equaling 4 miles – easy to moderate rating. The single-track trails were designed by mountain bikers, with 8.25 miles of trails. These trails are not paved and you will want to wear appropriate attire while visiting this park.
