
Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in Hardin County Tuesday morning that resulted in a fatality. At around 7:15an eastern, KSP Post 4 received a call in reference to a two-vehicle collision near the 5 mile-marker on the Joe Prather Highway. The preliminary investigation revealed that 19-year-old Marvin Mayen of Bardstown, was operating a 2006 Ford F-150 westbound on the Joe Prather Highway when for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and into the path of a 2013 KIA Optima being operated by 28-year-old Christopher Doss of Elizabethtown. Doss was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office. Mayen was taken by Hardin County EMS to University of Louisville Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
