An Owensboro woman has been arrested following a stabbing incident Tuesday night. According to the Owensboro Police Department, at around 8:21pm, officers with OPD responded to a Welfare Check in the 1300 Block of West 2nd Street. Officers found a male victim with multiple lacerations including two stab wounds to the left side of his back. The victim was transported by AMR to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and treated for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives developed 59-year-old Cynthia Irvin as a suspect during the investigation. Irvin was interviewed by Detectives and was subsequently arrested and charged with:
– Assault 1st Degree
Irvin has previously been charged with the following:
– Assault 2nd Degree – Domestic Violence
– Assault 4th Degree – Domestic Violence (Minor Injury) (4 Counts)
– Assault 4th Degree – Domestic Violence (No Visible Injury)
– Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree – 1st Offense (Cocaine)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
– Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree (3 Counts)
– Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place (21 Counts)
– Resisting Arrest
– Giving Officer False Name or Address
