Ed Sheeran Accused Of Copyright Infringement Over Marvin Gaye Song

(New York, NY) — Jury selection began Monday in New York City in the copyright infringement trial of Ed Sheeran. The British pop star is accused of copying parts of Marvin Gaye’s classic song, “Let’s Get It On” for his song, “Thinking Out Loud.” He’s being sued by the heirs of Ed Townsend, who helped co-write the song. Meantime, last year, Sheeran won another copyright suit over his song, “Shape of You.”
