(Frankfort, KY) — At least 19 people face charges after being arrested while protesting at the Kentucky Capitol in Frankfort yesterday. Hundreds were gathered there to protest a controversial bill which will come into law after being approved by lawmakers. The bill will introduce measures like banning gender-affirming care for transgender youth. Kentucky State Police last night said 19 people were arrested and each of them was cited for criminal trespassing. House Speaker David Osborne said the protestors’ behavior did not meet “proper levels of decorum.” Osborne added House leadership was not responsible for the arrests.
