Wendell Foster, a local non-profit agency serving people with disabilities, announced the appointment of four new members to their Board of Directors. The current board voted to elect Tristan Durbin, Charles (Buzz) Backstrom, J. Adam Hancock, and Dr. Trasey Falcone to serve three-year terms beginning on November 1, 2022.
Tristan Durbin is the current Airport Director for the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport. Durbin began his career with the Airport in a part-time role as a sophomore in college. He held positions in maintenance and operations prior to being named Airport Director. Durbin is a graduate of Brescia University with a bachelor’s degree in business.
Buzz Backstrom is the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Boardwalk Pipelines. A native of Clarksdale, Missouri, Backstrom is a 1980 graduate of Mississippi State with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He has resided in Owensboro for 36 years and previously served as President and board member for the Mississippi Natural Gas Association and the Tennessee Gas Association.
Adam Hancock serves as Managing Shareholder and President of Riney Hancock CPAs PSC. He is also the Director of the Consulting Services Division. Hancock is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has also obtained his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credentials from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Dr. Trasey Falcone is a physiatrist affiliated with Owensboro Health. Specializing in the areas of physical medicine and rehabilitation, she received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She also completed an internship at the University of Pittsburg School of Medicine.
