An Ohio County man has been arrested in connection to two December theft cases. On Wednesday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Hartford Police Department, executed a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of a man who was a suspect in thefts that occurred on December 15th and 27th. The search warrant was executed on a vehicle belonging to the suspect. Inside the vehicle, various tools were located, including a chainsaw that was listed as stolen from the Halter Group. There was also methamphetamine, a pipe and a handgun located inside the vehicle.
The owner Phillip Edge, of Beaver Dam, was placed under arrest and transported to the Ohio County Detention Center. Mr. Edge was charged with the following:
1. Receiving Stolen Property $1000 < $10,000.
2. Possession of Burglary Tools
3. Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
4. Possession of Marijuana
5. Buy/Possess Drug Paraphernalia
Shortly after, Deputies along with Beaver Dam Police Department, were able to locate additional stolen items at a residence in Beaver Dam and were able to return those items to the owner.
