TELL CITY, IN. – Chris Cail has officially announced he will seek re-election as Mayor of Tell
City this coming November.
In 2019, Cail was elected Mayor of Tell City, winning by an unforgettable margin of only two
votes. Since becoming Mayor, he has navigated the Tell City community through unprecedented
challenges, while remaining true to the pillars and promises of his first campaign.
Improvements to infrastructure, new and affordable housing, economic growth and increased
quality of life are only some of the pillars of which Cail focused his previous campaign toward.
As he enters the final year of his first term, he continues to deliver on the promises of his 2019
campaign. Cail stated that, “In the last three years we have secured and utilized approximately
three million dollars in grant funding to improve and pave our city streets and sidewalks – and we
are on track to secure more funding for continued improvements this year. Despite the pandemic
and challenges we have faced as a community, we have implemented transformational projects
every step of the way, without slowing down and plan to continue doing even more in the near
future.”
“It takes a great team…a strong team, to make great things happen and I am thankful each day,
for having the best team possible in helping me to make these goals a reality for our community,”
Cail said.
Cail said he is excited and optimistic about the developments and progress achieved thus far and
the progress and projects yet to come, in the near future. Cail said, “This year, our community can
expect more exciting projects to be completed and new ones to begin. Some of those projects
include remodeling and opening a new senior citizen center, breaking ground on a multi-million
dollar sports complex, a new downtown hotel, continued road paving, sidewalk replacement and
construction, and street signs to be replaced throughout the entire city…and those are only a few
things we have planned…”
“The future growth and prosperity of Tell City looks promising and bright and I am proud of all
we have been able to accomplish, as a team and as a community. We have much more to do
moving forward and I am ready and hopeful to continue leading us in a direction of continued
growth”, Cail said.
