A five-year-old boy is clinging to life in Hardin County after allegedly being abused by his stepmother and father. Court documents reveal that Clovis Smith and Satrina Layne of Rineyville were arrested over the weekend and charged with criminal abuse. Kentucky State Police were called to Baptist Health Hardin Sunday about the young boy who had no pulse but did have severe injuries. The boy was air-lifted to Norton Children’s in Louisville in critical condition.
