
Two people were arrested Tuesday on drugs and firearms charges after a search warrant at a motel unveiled a trafficking operation. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, at about 3:31am, deputies along with Kentucky State Police conducted a search at the Cadillac Motel on 2nd Street. In the search, deputies found methamphetamine, an assortment of drug paraphernalia, cash, and a defaced firearm. 23-year-old Dillon Lindsey was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree with a firearm enhancement, possession of a defaced firearm, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. 27-year-old Cody Smathers was charged with the same offenses.
