Former Kentucky Congressman Carroll Hubbard has died at the age of 85. A Democrat, Hubbard served nine terms in the U.S. House, representing the 1st Congressional District from 1974 to 1992. He ran an unsuccessful campaign for governor in 1979. In the mid-1990’s, Hubbard was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to campaign funding violations. Hubbard died on Sunday in Paducah. Funeral services will be Saturday in Mayfield.
