(Chautauqua, NY) — Salman Rushdie’s permanent injuries are being revealed. Two months after the famous author was stabbed at a speaking event in New York, his agent says Rushdie has permanently lost sight in one eye and the use of one of his hands. He’s also still recovering from serious wounds to the neck, chest and stomach. The man charged in the attack pleaded not-guilty in August. Rushdie spent nearly a decade in hiding after the former leader of Iran called for his death over a controversial novel.
