(Muhlenberg County, KY) — A Muhlenberg County, Kentucky park is being dedicated to legendary singer-songwriter John Prine. He immortalized the area in his 1970 ode to his father’s hometown of Paradise. Called the John Prine Memorial Park, the grounds have seen improvements and updates including a new Rochester Dam boat ramp, landscaping enhancements, playground equipment, and a picnic pavilion. A dedication ceremony is planned for Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 p.m. Organizers say Prine’s family and Nashville-based company, O Boy! Records, have lent their blessing to the project.
