A variety of agencies in Kentucky are sending supplies and personnel to Florida as preparations continue for the rescue and recovery efforts to come. More than 200 Kentucky Utilities and LG&E employees and 14 utility trucks left for Florida and Georgia early Wednesday in anticipation of widespread power outages. Utility safety specialists and line technicians are all heading south as Hurricane Ian came on shore in Florida as a Category 4 storm.
