Daviess Fiscal Court has announced a way to get rid of hazardous items in a safe way. Tox Away Day is October 1st from 8am until noon at the Daviess County Operations Center on Highway 81. According to the county’s social media post, this is an excellent opportunity to clean out your garage and safely dispose of household hazardous waste. Antifreeze, Motor Oil, Household Cleaners, Fluorescent Bulbs, Lawn Chemicals, Lithium Batteries, Pharmaceuticals, PCB Materials, & Oil-Based Paints can be safely discarded at the event.
