A helicopter that went missing over the weekend was found crashed on Monday. Officials with the Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management said the helicopter that went missing late Saturday night was found around 3pm near Highway 70 and Park Boundry Road. Dispatch confirmed the aircraft crashed into trees, and the pilot was found inside. According to media partner 14News, the pilot was identified as David Stone. He died due to the accident. They say the pilot was believed to be flying low to avoid the storms. The last contact made with the helicopter was in Ohio County, and it was there that hunters said saw the helicopter flying to the southeast.
