Earlier Friday morning we were at the annual Kate Hayden blood drive. This event is held every year on Kate’s birthday. Unfortunately over 10 years ago lost her life from injuries sustained in a car accident. Over holiday weekends, there are more accidents so it is extra important to not get behind the wheel if you are impaired. This blood drive is meant to help the blood shortage that has been going on and to remember a young lady that lost her life too soon. That being said Kentucky State Police is going to be setting up safety checkpoints all through the listening area with the main goal being.
