The annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival is set for downtown Henderson. Songwriters are gathering together to tell the story of their music and raise money for local non-profits. The festival opened Wednesday and runs through Saturday. There is a songwriter’s workshop for local musicians and songwriters and a Veteran’s Concert Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Homeplace of Henderson on Green River Road.
