Muhlenberg County High School as officially removed the “interim” tag and has named Aaron Morris the new head boys basketball coach at Muhlenberg County High School.
In the past 5 season as an assistant to Kyle Eades, the Mustangs assembled a 87-49 record and has won the past two 3rd region tournament championships. Morris stated, “I am honored to be the next head boys basketball coach at Muhlenberg County High School, and carry on the tradition that has been established. I am currently an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting at Madisonville Community College.”
Under the direction of Eades and Morris, the Mustangs did no worse than making the 3rd region tournament semifinals. Also during this span, the Mustangs won 4 10th district tournament championships as well. With a talented underclassman roster led by Kadin Ray, Chandler Moore, Maddox Jernigan, and Kanyon Johnson, expect the Mustangs to be a strong contender to win the region championship once again. Morris added, “I have been an Assistant Coach for the last 5 years, and I am excited to step into this new role and continue the success of our program.”
