A longtime Owensboro business thought to be closing for good will now stay open under new ownership. Oasis Tanning Salon, currently located at 325 Park Plaza Drive, announced its closure earlier this month with owner Dee Ann Rice planning to retire after 38 years. But a local couple stepped in and offered to buy the business and keep it open under the new name of New Oasis. Troy and Kara Schwartz will take over ownership August 1st and move the salon to 4032 Frederica Street. They hope to retain all employees.
