After a week of scorching hot temperatures and high humidity, Windy Hollow Dragway competitors and fans were welcomed with perfect weather for a weekend of racing in western Daviess County. Windy Hollow kicked off the weekend on Friday, June 17th with “Friday Night Fun” where entry-level drag racers could race their friends on a controlled and safe 1/8 mile drag strip. Veteran racers also took advantage of the Friday session for Test and Tune in preparation for Saturday’s IHRA bracket racing. Also, on the agenda for Friday was a “Trophy Race” where competitors could pay an additional entry fee to compete for a Trophy and added cash for the top-two finishers. At the conclusion of the event, Owensboro’s Darren Welborn entered into the Windy Hollow Dragway victory circle.
The competitors from Friday night and others crowded the pit area on Saturday for the IHRA bracket racing divisions. The results are as follows:

Windy Hollow Dragway will return to action on Friday, June 24th for “Friday Night Fun” and Test-N- Tune. Gates open at 5:30pm, the cost of entry to participate is $20 and $10 to spectate. Windy Hollow Dragway will be off on June 25th.
Windy Hollow Dragway is an International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioned track located in Western Daviess County. The track is 1/8 mile in length and has been operational since 1971.
