An 18-year-old Owensboro man accused in a 2020 shooting death was sentenced Tuesday. According to media partner 14News, in April a jury found Jaikorian Johnson guilty of second-degree manslaughter in the death of 15-year-old Corban Henry, and four counts of wanton endangerment. Henry was riding on the back of a moped when he was shot. On Tuesday, a judge ruled Johnson will serve 10 years for manslaughter and five years for each count of wanton endangerment. That’s 30 years, but Kentucky law states that the maximum sentence for the two felonies he’s charged with caps at 20 years.
