The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a juvenile reported to have had a firearm at the bus stop Monday morning. According to OPD, at approximately 7:03am, tofficers responded to the 2300 block of Ottawa Drive for a reported juvenile in possession of a firearm waiting at a bus stop. Upon arrival, officers conducted a traffic stop on a Daviess County Public Schools’ bus in the area and located the juvenile matching the description given. Officers detained the juvenile and located an airsoft handgun on the juvenile’s person. Due to the student being enrolled at the Daviess County Public Schools, officials with the Daviess County Public Schools Police Department were contacted and are currently investigating.
