The birthplace of famed Hollywood performer Fred Astaire is being restored. Broadway star Susan Egan tells Nebraska’s WOWT-TV that funds are being raised to purchase the South Omaha home where Astaire grew up, and tours of the house could begin next year. Astaire died in 1987 after a famed career as an actor and dancer.
