The 2022 Kentucky General Assembly neared the end of its 60-day legislative session last week before adjourning until April 13 to consider any pending legislation and a potential override of vetoes from Governor Andy Beshear. According to the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, both chambers so far have passed House Bill 4, concerning unemployment requirements, House Bill 214, which creates a second family court judge in Daviess County, and House Bill 499, the Employee Child Care Assistance Partnership , which helps employers provide child-care assistance as a benefit of employment by matching employer contributions with state dollars.
