**UPDATE** – Detectives arrested Thomas L. Baxter (33 years old of Owensboro) for Assault 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence in this case.
On Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at approximately 6:53 am, the Owensboro Police Department responded to 3720 New Hartford Road (Days Inn) for what was initially described as a suicide attempt. Upon arrival, officers located an
adult female with multiple stab wounds and other injuries consistent with an assault.
The victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
