Apollo High School football coach John Edge talked with 102.7 The Game’s David Clark about the Eagle’s summer football practices. Edge talked about the team building process that summer football practice allows as well as the 7v7 passing game against Hancock County. Apollo junior quarterback Christian Combs looked great during the 7v7 game against Hancock County, throwing for several touchdowns to several different receivers. In the game against the Hornets, Apollo was without the services of returning seniors John Lynn and Mykel Whitney.
Defensively, Apollo senior linebackers Dayton Brown and Jarrod “Doozer” Gray stood out in pass coverage. Apollo scrimmages Ohio County on Friday August 6th at 6pm at Eagle Stadium.
