Residents claiming unemployment benefits must re-register with the state using a new eight-digit PIN number. The state mailed PIN numbers last week. Governor Beshear said yesterday anyone not receiving that new PIN now has a phone number to access the system. That number is 502 – 564 – 2900. The changes in PIN numbers comes after the unemployment insurance system was shut down for the last four days to investigate several fraudulent attacks.
