The Apollo E-Gals met Wednesday morning in the parking lot at Apollo High School with family, friends, and supporters as they board a charter bus headed for Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. Apollo will take on the Henderson County Lady Colonels in the Mingua Beef Jerky KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 on Thursday. This is the first trip for Apollo since current head coach Natalie Powers-Payne led the E-Gals to the state tournament her senior season.
