Tekashi 6ix9ine is being sued by the victims of a 2018 robbery that the rapper previously admitted to being involved in. According to TMZ, Seketha Wonzer and Kevin Dozier, have filed a lawsuit against Tekashi, claiming that he was part of the criminal conspiracy set in motion that led to them being robbed at gunpoint in New York City. This is the incident that the rapper testified and plead guilty to in federal court.
In the court docs, Wonzer and Dozier said they lost shoes, master recordings, hard drives, precious jewelry, a camera and cash and other items in the robbery.
The suit also stated that although Tekashi didn't do the robbery himself, he did record the entire incident from an SUV that was waiting outside.
Wonzer and Dozier are seeking compensatory and punitive damages for assault, battery and the emotional distress they say they suffered.
Wonzer and Dozier spoke about the lawsuit through their attorney, who said in a statement, “If Tekashi 6ix9ine thought his legal problems were over after pleading guilty to brutally assaulting my clients, he was woefully mistaken. We do know this now, if he refuses to redress the injuries he caused my clients, he’ll sincerely regret that decision.”
Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, responded saying, “We will defend this lawsuit vigorously.”
