LUPE FIASCO CLAIMS HE IS A BETTER LYRICIST THAN KENDRICK LAMAR: Lupe Fiasco was trending on Twitter yesterday (September 22nd)and it is all because he thinks he is a better lyricist than Kendrick Lamar. It all started when someone on Twitter asked who was a better lyricist, Lupe or Kendrick. Lupe responded, , “Lupe but…” He later deleted the tweet. Punch, who is president of Kendrick’s label TDE, responded to Lupe, writing, “Lol.” After seeing his name trending, Lupe cleared up his comments. He wrote, “In my own words…once again for you b*tches…I love me some KDot…always have always will. With that said do think I he’s a good lyricist? Yes. Do I think he’s the best lyricist? No. Do I think it’s lyricists that are better than him? Yes. Is he a better artist than me? Yes. Is he a better lyricist than me? No. Does he make better songs than me? Yes.”
BOBBY SHMURDA DENIED PAROLE, WILL REMAIN IN PRISON UNTIL 2021: According to TMZ, yesterday (September 21st), Bobby Shmurda was denied parole. He will be held in custody until the end of his max sentence, which is December 11th, 2021. An exact reason why was not given but it has been reported that the rapper has received 11 violations while behind bars, including drug possession, fighting and having a shank. Shmurda is currently serving time at New York's Clinton Correctional Facility after pleading guilty to one count of third degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession in September 2016.
DR. DRE'S ESTRANGED WIFE NICOLE YOUNG ACCUSED OF EMBEZZLING MONEY AND DRAINING BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT: Reports say that Dr. Dre's estranged wife Nicole Young has embezzled more than $350,000 from a Record One business account that was set up by the pair back in 2015. According to RapUp, Ed McPherson, an attorney and representative for Record One recording studio says that Nicole is accused of “blatant and unjustifiable criminal embezzlement of corporate funds.” The check that was dated August 27th, 2020 has been issued as evidence, claiming that Young is “draining” the company’s primary business account.
DA BABY SUED BY BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL EMPLOYEE FOR 2019 ALTERCATION: According to TMZ, DaBaby is being sued by a Beverly Hills hotel employee for an altercation they got into last year. Christofher Pocasangre filed suit, saying that the altercation with the rapper resulted in assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress and more. Christofher claimed that he was working at a Marriott Hotel near Beverly Hills when he learned that the rapper was there and asked to take a photo. Da Baby declined and Christofher admitted to taking the photo in the background regardless. And this is when the altercation occurred. At the time of the incident, DaBaby explained that he had an issue with Christofher taking a photo because he was with his daughter.Christofher has claimed that DaBaby followed him and assaulted him. YUNG MIAMI IS ON THE MARKET: City Girls rapper Yung Miami has confirmed that hs and boyfriend Southside have broken up. During an Instagram Live video, while on a cruise with her girls, she raised a glass and said, “Cheers to Yung Miami being single.” Her girlfriends responded with cheers. Yung Miami and Southside first shared their romance publicly in 2018.
