Daviess County Sheriff’s Office deputies report at approximately 3:03 a.m. this morning, DCSO was dispatched to H & R Agri-Power on Highway 431. Upon arrival, deputies observed Jason D. West, age 40, of Utica attempting to steal a zero turn mower. West was also in possession of a stolen trailer behind his pickup truck. West had altered the license plate on the vehicle to prevent identification of the owner via H & R Agri-Power’s surveillance video.
West was charged with theft by unlawful taking, attempted theft of unlawful taking, possession of burglary tools & display of altered registration plate.
West is currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
