Effective 5:00 p.m. Friday, masks will be mandatory in the state of Kentucky. Governor Andy Beshear made the announcement of his executive order in his Thursday address to the Commonwealth.
Exceptions to the order include children under 5, those with breathing/health problems and people who exercise while social distancing.
The order is in effect for 30 days.
