Static Cycle is a band that I literally discovered about 2 weeks ago when their manager introduced them to me. Now naturally, when I get introduced to new bands, I take it with a grain of salt because it’s rare that these new bands blow me away. But Static Cycle is one of the VERY few bands that I have full faith will end up exploding onto, not only the rock scene, but the entire landscape of music. What makes Static Cycle so different? Pretty much everything they bring to the table.
First off, their music is a perfect mix of Muse, Breaking Benjamin and a pinch of R&B to give you that extra flavor. Secondly, their music videos are totally different from what other bands have released with their 3 (about to be 4) current videos ALL being handmade out of paper. The one aspect of Static Cycle that really blew me away though is their live performance. This isn’t a band that sets up their instruments and plays the set like 80% of bands out there now. No, instead, they’re bringing a Broadway-esque story to the stage!
Static Cycle’s live performance will include actors, fire, acrobats, different scents in the air, snow, things that you haven’t seen any other bands do!
