Daviess County Fiscal Court is distributing approximately 15,000 3-ply surgical masks to businesses having 50 or less employees that will be able to open May 22, 2020, and May 25, 2020, per Governor Beshear’s reopening schedule. These businesses include, but are not limited to, restaurants, massage therapy and cosmetology salons such as barber, hair, nail, tanning, and tattooing. Additionally, businesses currently open, having 50 or less employees, and did not receive masks in a prior distribution, are eligible for this program.
Beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, qualifying businesses needing masks shall schedule a convenient pickup time by calling 270-685-8456 or 270-685-6142. For verification, businesses must provide a current copy of their Owensboro/Daviess Co. Occupational Business License at time of pickup. Units will be distributed at no charge.
The pickup location will be the Daviess Co. Operations Center, 2620 Highway 81, Owensboro, KY 42301. As the number of masks is limited, distribution arrangements will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Masks not picked up at the scheduled time will be placed back into inventory.
