Governor Andy Beshear announced Tuesday that the school year in the Commonwealth may continue with non-traditional instruction for the remainder of the school year. President Trump extended the social distancing guidelines through April 30th, and the school districts in the Commonwealth may follow suit. Districts are preparing for the possibility of not having any more in-class instruction. Governor Beshear signed Senate Bill 177 over a week ago which allows school districts across the state to utilize an unlimited amount of non-traditional instruction days, NTI days allow students to continue learning from home when school is closed and those days do NOT have to be made up.

We have an Amish community here in Mayslick Ky and some traveled to Pennsylvania over weekend now one is sick.
There is a number to call and report it
Don’t you think leaving the Main bank Branch open and close the million little Branches, to keep more people at home and out of the public would save lives? Tellers work 2 feet apart and deal with the public and money. People will drive to Kroger’s. Then they will drive to a Main Branch. There is not a Kroger’s on every street corner. Close them and save more lives.
I hope there is some way the class of 2020 can have a graduation ceremony even if it just a parade of cars through town with a police escort. In large cities with multiple high schools, the “parade” could be scheduled on different days/times These kids were born into a 9-11 world and are graduating during a pandemic. Can’t we find some way to honor them?
That’s a great idea. Maybe they could be on the same nights but different times and on their football fields and we could drive by honking our horns and waving that schools colors.
I know the grocery stores like Kroger are busy. The customers DO NOT stay 6 feet away from you. How can that be enforced? I am afraid to go to Kroger or WalMart because people are so stupid that they want to be right next to you.
