Grocery and department store company Meijer is making a move to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. The company announced today it wants customers to stop bringing reusable bags unless they are using the shop and scan service. Meijer doesn’t want its employees handling the reusable bags during the coronavirus crisis. The company has outlets in Lexington and elsewhere in the state and officials say they’re trying to ensure the safest and most sanitary environment for its employees.
