Atmos Energy is spending approximately $800,000 this fall and winter to replace 9,804 feet of aging steel pipe in central Owensboro. Years ago, the Kentucky Public Service Commission approved Atmos for the Pipeline Replacement Program – this fall and winter Atmos will take action on $800,000 worth of steel pipe replacement in central Owensboro. In the last few years, Eastern and Western Owensboro had thousands of feet of pipe replaced. The current work will also replace 148 service lines. The project is expected to be completed in late February.
