Godsmack is a band that has been around since 1995 cementing themselves as one of the biggest names in rock music. Over the years, like with any band, they’ve matured their sound and it’s evident on their latest album When Legends Rise. Singer Sully Erna called into the Jordan Roos show where we talked about their insane tour with Halestorm and Monster Truck along with the insanity of them playing between Guns N’ Roses and rapper Ice Cube at Louder Than Life.
We went on to discuss the deep meaning behind Godsmack’s first ballad, Under Your Scars which ended up giving Sully the inspiration to begin the non-profit, The Scars Foundation.
Sully and I went on to discuss everything from releasing the follow-up to When Legends Rise, his favorite football team, the New England Patriots and we wrapped it up talking about his classic muscle cars addiction.
While fans see Sully as this larger than life rock star, he’s honest to goodness a down to Earth guy that wants to make people smile and help them out on this journey that we call life.
