The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for more deputies. Deputy Lacey Schroader is leaving the department in July to become a trooper with the Kentucky State Police, and Deputy Matt Fitzgerald will depart in the end of July to take a job in the private sector. Meanwhile. Lt. Morgan Palmiter, a supervisor in the department’s detective bureau, previously announced his plan to retire this year.
