Apollo High School will host a Senior Signing Day celebration from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, in the gymnasium.
The school-wide assembly and pep rally is designed to celebrate the pathways that AHS seniors have chosen as they begin their journeys to adulthood.
Parents, college representatives and military recruiters are among those who will be present as each senior’s name is called and they step forward to their appropriate categories of life beyond high school – college, workforce or military service.
AHS seniors are encouraged to wear a shirt representing the area in which they will attend after graduation, and AHS staff members will wear shirts representing the colleges and universities they attended.
Guidance counselor Cristy Dame said, “Our mission is twofold: We want to expose students in grades 9-11 to various options that will be available to them, and build a culture of planning for success, while also celebrating our seniors and recognize their next steps in life.”
