Owensboro Police Department detectives still do not have a motive in the West 8th Street shooting. They do not believe it was an indiscriminate act. Kevin White of Hopkinsville was fatally shot by a gunshot wound to the chest Tuesday night. According to Owensboro Police, White did have ties to the area. Anyone with information about Tuesday’s shooting is asked to call OPD at 270-687-8888. Anonymous tips can also be made to Owensboro Crime Stoppers, at 270-687-8484.
