I’m on scene of a possible shooting on the 900 block of Audubon Ave. The coroner has been called. No other info from OPD just yet but stick with @14News as we learn more
UPDATE FROM THE OWENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Detectives are looking to speak to Cylar L. Shemwell, 31 years old, of Owensboro. It is believed Mr. Shemwell may have additional information about this investigation.

UPDATE: 1/17/19
On Thursday, January 17, 2019 officers responded to the 900 blk of Audubon Ave. in reference to a homicide investigation. Upon arrival officers located two individuals deceased and two injured which were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in critical condition. Since arriving at the hospital one of the critically injured parties has succumbed to their injuries. Detectives and evidence collection are on-scene and the investigation is ongoing. Updates will be released as they come available.
UPDATE:
OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) – Owensboro Police are investigating a shooting.It happened in the 900 block of Audubon Avenue. 14 WFIE was told the coroner has been called. Police could not tell WFIE how many people have been shot, but they do say multiple victims were taken to the hospital. 14 News was told both Foust and Hager schools were put on lockdown, but that has now been lifted.
