
Yellow Ambulance service is leaving Owensboro effective July 1st.
Procarent, Yellow Ambulance’s Parent Company which is based in Louisville, advised County Judge-Executive Al Mattingly and Owensboro City Manager Nate Pagan on Monday informing them of the company’s decision.
The letter gave no explanation about what led to the decision. Procarent was required by contract to provide six months’ notice of their intention to terminate ambulance services.
The city, county and Owensboro Health Regional Hospital have a plan in place for ambulance services after July 1.
