No one knows what online sales taxes could be worth to KentucKY, but lawmakers in Frankfort are ready to start collecting them. State Senator Dorsey Ridley told “The Courier Journal” that the internet has taken money from the state’s small business owners. Ridley is one of many lawmakers who say the decision from the Supreme Court to allow states to collect online sales taxes ‘levels the playing field.’ “The Courier Journal” cites a GAO report that says Kentucky stands to collect between 93 and 140 million-dollars a year from online shoppers.
