The warmer weather means more motorcycles on the roadways. The Kentucky Commission on Motorcycle Safety is urging bikers and drivers to be aware of their surroundings as more people hit the road. May is National Motorcycle Awareness Month and officials say nearly 80-percent of motorcycle crashes nationwide result in injury or death. Wearing a helmet can improve the chances of survival, but Kentucky law only requires riders younger than 21 to protect their heads.
