A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has resumed a work zone lane and load width restriction on the US 431 Green River/Rough River Bridge at Livermore in McLean County. The contractor has again restricted traffic to one lane at US 431 mile point 5.25 to allow touch up work on the recent painting of the Green River/Rough River Bridge. This work zone includes an 11 ft. maximum load width restriction during working hours. To assist farmers with movement of equipment during planting season, the contractor has modified the work zone to allow loads of up to 15 ft. wide to cross the bridge during overnight hours until the paint touch-up work is completed. The contractor will continue to have an 11 ft. maximum load width from approximately 7 a.m. to approximately 7 p.m., CDT, each day. One lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by an automated signal will remain in place around the clock in this work zone. When the work zone is not active the width restriction will be widened to 15ft, to assist farmers with moving equipment. Farmers who need to move equipment during working hours should contact the contractor on-site for assistance. This work zone on the US 431 Green River/Rough River Bridge is expected to be in place until about June 22, 2016. 300 Industrial, LLC, of Hubbard, OH, is the prime contractor. Approximately 6,500 vehicles cross the US 431 Green River/Rough River Bridge in an average day.
