The Terressentia Corporation is set to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for its new distillery in Owensboro on July 30, complete with a visit from Governor Steve Beshear. According to the Messenger-Inquirer, company officials will then reveal the new name of the facility, which plans to produce 2 million gallons of bourbon a year, the first bourbon distilled in the county in over 20 years. Officials say it will employ 50 to 75 people.
